These terms explain what you can expect from gFOOD and what we ask from every customer and restaurant. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. What gFOOD does
gFOOD helps customers order food from restaurants. Restaurants prepare the food, set menu details, and handle order fulfilment.
2. Accounts and modes
- Use your real name and phone number.
- Keep your password private.
- Do not use another person’s account.
- Tell us quickly if you think your account was used without permission.
- You are responsible for orders placed from your account before you report a problem.
- One account can order food and run a restaurant. Switch between customer mode and restaurant mode from the profile menu.
3. Orders
- Check the restaurant, items, price, and payment method before placing an order.
- A restaurant may accept, reject, or cancel an order if an item is unavailable or a problem occurs.
- Delivery times are estimates. Weather, traffic, kitchen delays, and payment checks can change them.
- Do not place fake orders or orders you do not plan to pay for.
- You cannot order from, or review, your own restaurant.
4. Payments
gFOOD supports cash and Mobile Money where restaurants offer those choices. The App does not collect your Mobile Money PIN or bank password.
For Mobile Money, you may need to upload a receipt image so the restaurant can confirm payment.
5. Cancellations and refunds
Refunds depend on the order status, the payment method, and the restaurant’s ability to stop preparation.
6. Restaurant responsibilities
- Keep menus, prices, phone numbers, and payment details accurate.
- Prepare food safely and follow local food rules.
- Mark order status honestly.
- Use customer information only to handle that customer’s order.
- Do not upload photos or text you do not have the right to use.
7. Photos and messages
You keep ownership of photos and messages you provide. You give gFOOD permission to use them only to run the App, show menus, process orders, and provide support.
Restaurant names, logos, cover photos, and menus are shown to every customer, so they must follow the banned content rules below.
8. Banned content
These rules apply to everything you add to gFOOD: restaurant names, logos, cover photos, menu items, chat messages, reviews, and support messages. Do not post:
- Sexual content or nudity.
- Hate speech, or content that attacks people for their race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, age, or other protected traits.
- Threats, bullying, harassment, or abuse.
- Violent or graphic content.
- Illegal goods or services, including drugs and weapons.
- Fake restaurants, fake menus, misleading prices, or scams.
- Pretending to be another person or business.
- Spam or unrelated advertising.
- Photos, logos, or text you do not have the right to use.
- Anything that puts a child at risk.
9. Reporting and blocking
- Report a restaurant from the menu button on its menu screen, or report anyone you chat with from the chat menu.
- Block anyone you chat with. While a chat is blocked, neither side can send messages in it.
- Our team reviews every report. We may remove content, switch a restaurant off, or disable an account that breaks these rules, and we may do so without notice.
- You can also report a problem by e-mail to abudustephen72@gmail.com.
10. Fair use of the app
- Do not harm, overload, copy, or break the App.
- Do not threaten, abuse, or harass customers, restaurants, or support staff.
- Do not use gFOOD for fraud or illegal activity.
- Do not try to access private areas without permission.
11. Account limits
We may disable an account or switch a restaurant off if it breaks these terms, creates safety risk, causes repeated payment problems, or appears to be used for fraud.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will give notice in the App or on this website. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
